• Monterey Bay Aquarium - About an hour south, this is one of the country's premier aquariums.

• Hiking - There are many state parks near the hotel with excellent hiking paths.
• Natural Bridges State Park - The park features a natural bridge across a section of the beach. It is also well known as a hotspot to see monarch butterfly migrations.
